SEASIDE ICE RETURNS WITH SEASONAL ICE SKATING AND HOLIDAY ACTIVITIES
AT THE SEASIDE LAGOON IN REDONDO BEACH THIS NOVEMBER 10 – JANUARY 18

What: Outdoor ice skating at the beach creates a seaside winter wonderland, with daily public skating, holiday decorations, corporate and private parties, and weekly special events.
Where: The Seaside Lagoon, located in the heart of Redondo Beach King Harbor at 200 Portofino Way, will once again be the site of the South Bay’s first outdoor ice skating experience. Parking at 181 N. Harbor Drive, Redondo Beach, CA 90277
When: Skating available November 10, 2009 through January 18, 2010. School holiday schedule is 11:00a.m. – 9:30p.m. weekdays and from 10:00a.m. – 10:30p.m. weekends. Check website for full schedule – www.seasideice.com .
Last season, Seaside Ice was a hugely successful winter holiday event, attracting over 25,000 skaters and an estimated 70,000 visitors. This season’s ten-week event will again feature a 60x120-foot ice rink constructed on the Seaside Lagoon’s sand in a picturesque setting.
The event, which will include holiday decorations and music, will feature the opportunity to skate outdoors ON THE BEACH, a calendar of special events, skating exhibitions, themed nights, games, music videos, Seaside Santa appearances, and non-stop entertainment for all ages. Seaside Ice was created by Tom Kearney and Scott Williams, through Seaside Ice, LLC, in partnership with the City of Redondo Beach. Bringing together the community of Redondo Beach, this duo is proud to spearhead a family event activity in their hometown.

Scott Williams is the founder of Turtle Island Productions, Inc., which has produced live and televised entertainment including the American Open and TLC’s Ice Diaries. He is the Producer for NBC’s Brian Boitano Skating Spectacular for White Canvas Productions and has captured the Junior World, World Professional, and US Open figure skating titles. In 2002-2003 Scott coached world champion Michelle Kwan.
Tom Kearney created Pinch Hit Productions, which founded the Hermosa Beach Film festival, Hermosa Shorts, which has been called one of the best film festivals in the Country. After appearing in television and film, Tom produced Films, TV shows and commercials.
